Our regular personnel satisfaction surveys confirm what we already knew from experience: we have a strong collective feeling and we like to do our job well.

Since people are loyal to Neste Oil as an employer and often transfer from one position to another, we at Neste Oil know each other well. This also plays a part in reinforcing the honest and open atmosphere. One reason behind our competitive edge is that we can find better solutions by combining different kinds of experiences and ways of thinking.

Coping at work

We at Neste Oil take good care of our employees so that we are better able to work towards our joint goals. Since fair supervisory work where the differences between people are taken into account is the basis of the wellbeing of the work community and individuals, all the supervisors in our Group (currently approximately 550 of them) participate in customized supervisory work training.


In addition to the high-quality supervisors, we offer clubs, gyms, occupational healthcare services and flexible working hours, job rotation and opportunities for personal development. We arrange joint events for different units and share information. We at Neste Oil do not deem wellbeing at work a 'soft value'; that is how serious we are about it.

Tradition of doing things properly

When doing responsible business with fuels, routines must be intact, processes must be seamless and everything must be secured by multiple means. We have worked with fuels for the entire sixty years we have done business.

In that amount of time, a company has time to develop a strong tradition and a sprit of doing things properly - a principle which guides us all and all our activities.


Whether it is a question of developing new expertise, doing accounting or arranging lunch, if something is worth doing, it's worth doing it right. And the best thing is that doing things properly does not cause more bureaucracy; instead, it promotes a genuine working spirit. When things are done with care, everything will work. And when everything works properly, people can focus on their own tasks.
