Versatile work

We can offer a variety of tasks for a large range of people from different fields and at different educational levels. We employ engineers, operators, controllers, sales managers and seamen, people who have undergone vocational training and academic people - there are men and women from Finland and abroad.

Most of the tasks in our company are reasonably varied as they are, but this is just the starting point.

The total picture also includes interesting development projects at a pioneering company, continuous improvement of all processes and expertise, projects exceeding unit limits and stretching the limits of our expertise, opportunities to participate in job rotation, personal development plans and training, as well as other support to reach development plan goals, and our desire to encourage people to become experts in several fields. There are plenty of opportunities for those willing to utilize them.

Global approach

We are a Finnish oil company with Finnish values but our business is highly global. Currently, we do business in approximately ten countries. Our main business areas are the Baltic Sea region and the Nordic countries, but we also export fuels to, for example, the demanding markets of California. The latest additions to our business area range include Singapore, Switzerland and the Netherlands, among others.

We build new, modern refineries to manufacture diesel based on renewable raw materials for the developing markets of Asia and Europe. These projects offer the employees of Neste Oil even more varied opportunities for interesting jobs.

The native language of most of us is Finnish, but some speak English or Russian. The number of people with Mandarin Chinese or Dutch as their native language is increasing.

Top teams

We employ experts with a variety of educational backgrounds. Some study biotechnical solutions, others calculate the strength of metals and yet others solve the mysteries of automation. Some study financial results and others find new areas into which we could expand. Some sell, others buy, and yet others study processes and run our logistics chain. There are people wearing overalls, sweaters and suits.

Because we are a fairly small oil company among large competitors, it is important for us to utilize all of our resources in a flexible and efficient manner. Thus, cooperation among people, within our business areas and across borders is important for us. Our informal, discussion-based operations culture greatly speeds up the creation of teams and their success.
